Diary - 2014

I sometimes think that I should not make an appointment to see others.
I see many people without appointments, and it is enough for me.
I shall see those who I should see; those will see me who would like to see me.

会いたい人間とは会わなくても会える。
それ以外の人間とは会わない。

会えるかもしれない場所に行ってみる。
会えたら,会う。
会えなかったら,会わない。

Daily Days

Ten days without diary articles tell you that my life in חיפה becomes now a usual days, or daily ones. Many small new things every day, but I begin to feel everything natural. This adaptation of mine is surprising even for me, because I didn't sleep in more than 20 days. It might be that we don't usually do a thing more than 20 times; if one did an act more than 20, it is already their dailies. (Is there anything that we did together more than 20 times?)

Start from the last week. Monday I gave a presentation in our journal club about CMS \(h\to\mu\tau\) search. Sunday was consumed for its preparation. Tuesday I went to HADAR to do shopping. I wanted a microwave, but no good ones are available in the shopping mall in my neighbourhood; microwave 300 NIS, or microwave-grill-oven 1000 NIS; poor, and expensive. So I went to the downtown HADAR; found microwave-grill with 450 NIS.

I wrote ten days, because I wrote the first two paragraph five days ago. I am currently in a conference at תל–אביב, and had no time to write more.

Anyway I continue. On the Wednesday, 5th November, we had a joint seminar / journal club at הטכניון, and the Thursday was an usual day with science and an עברית class. Fridays and Saturdays are, as you know, days to rest, or weekend. So I stayed calm; i.e., just did my researches.

Eating out in ישראל is in general expensive; so I always prepare my dinner. I started to cook curry on the Thursday, buying several kind of spices at the supermarket. Curry with pasta, which a Japanese friend was surprised when I told I made Curry-pasta, and Curry-with-rice, but the rice is Indica-type and thus I do not 炊 but 煮, which I made in these weeks, would be a good menu for me in this country.

The microwave-grill-oven marked the end of my setting up the life in חיפה; I've settled!

And, as I wrote, I am now in a conference at תל–אביב, or precisely at ויצמן Institute in רחובות from Wednesday (12th); tomorrow will be the last day and I will go back to חיפה. This conference is with attractive dishes and cakes, tasty cappuccino and espresso, and aggressive speakers with interesting and various talks.

I went to Old يافا Port for the first day's dinner, enjoyed nice fish food with amazing illumination; also yesterday as an excursion we went to, I mean we climbed, מצדה, there saw the Dead Sea, which was of great interest for me in terms of history and geography.

Conferences require physical and mental strength as well as cerebral strength, as 中村優子 said. Today is the 5th day, and I am thus really tired; I want to stop writing here.

The World

With two superpower countries, or with a sole world police, we easily forget that the world is dynamic. Now we know it again; a country is born in the middle of Asia, a country enlarges its territory near the Black Sea, and two religious group clash at the holy city.
